Mediation
One way NERC
may resolve claims of discrimination is through mediation, which is a
form of alternative dispute resolution. Mediation is an information
process in which a trained mediator assists the parties in reaching a
negotiated resolution of a charge of discrimination. The mediator does
not decide who is right or wrong and has no authority to impose a
settlement on the parties. Instead, the mediator helps the arties to
jointly explore an reconcile their differences.
