Rapid Response
Rapid Response is a free program that assists employers if they have to
lay off employees or shut down. Employment Security Division staff
works with employers to customize a plan that best suits the company's
needs.
All employers are encouraged to provide notice of layoffs to the
Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation as quickly as
possible. However, in some cases, employers are required to provide
notice a minimum of 60 days prior to the layoff, under provisions of the
Worker Adjustment and
Retraining Notification (WARN) Act.
